Masterplanning

Manson have been encouraging place-making in the urban environment for the past 20 years and have delivered large-scale masterplans throughout the UK. 

Our masterplanning work includes mixed-use projects with residential, commercial, retail, education, and leisure uses across a variety of locations, both in and out of cities.

We believe in establishing strong, resilient communities that benefit from the guiding principles of 20-minute neighbourhoods and contribute positively to existing communities through the provision of additional services and improved amenity, movement and biodiversity.

Manson have most recently worked in parallel with public and private stakeholders on the preparation of the Leith Walk / Halmyre Street Place Brief in Edinburgh. The masterplan focuses on delivering a high proportion of affordable housing, student accommodation and private housing, as well as improving connectivity between Leith Walk and Easter Road. 

Working in the Lansdowne area of Bournemouth, Manson delivered 900 student bedspaces, 129 Hotel Beds, and 150,000sqft of teaching facilities for nurses at Bournemouth University. 

In addition to the brownfield site masterplans, Manson have also worked on greenfield sites looking at the expansion of towns and the delivery of homes and services.
