A visually striking and colourful addition to a leafy streetscape in central Belfast 

Situated in the south of Belfast city centre, the site is approximately 10 minutes walk from Queens University and is within a highly desirable location for students. Manson were appointed by Lacuna Developments and Watkin Jones Group in 2010 to prepare feasibility studies for this ‘gateway’ site in Belfast.

The site is located on one of the main arterial boulevards connecting to the centre of the city. Streetscape scale and positive contribution to the existing urban grain were two of the key design drivers for the project.

The scheme has an elegant brick elevation of six floors addressing Dublin Road; including a two storey precast colonnade at street level. A further two etched glass storeys are set back at roof level to provide variety on the skyline and a positive contrast with the geometry below.
