Landmark development at City Wharf in Glasgow

Manson are working on a mixed-use project for Dandara with the objective of urban densification at a gateway site next to the Kingston Bridge.  A planning application for the site was submitted in May 2023 and includes a 27-storey Build to Rent tower and a separate 8-storey student accommodation building.

In total there are 503 new Build to Rent apartments and 491 purpose-built student bedspaces.

The main key objective of the project is to create a thriving, mixed use development which also acts as a landmark for the city. The creation of high quality residential and student accommodation is supported by a mix of new green spaces, shared amenity and ground floor commercial uses.

The tower has been designed as a well ordered, sophisticated geometric form which will be recognisable in the Glasgow skyline; while also maximising the views along the Riverside and towards the City Centre with the use of a feature beacon and viewing platform to the top storeys.

The link between built form, the amenity space and landscaped public realm is key to the overall success of the project and its connection with other waterfront developments.
