Student Accommodation 

The project was successfully built over a live railway line in central Belfast to deliver 253 student bedspaces with stunning interiors and functional landscaped terraces. 

Manson were involved in the project from feasibility to completion, with Farrans Construction handing the building over to Novel (CA Ventures) in the latter half of 2022. The scheme is the fourth large-scale residential project that Manson have completed in Belfast.

The long, narrow building spans between University Road and Botanic Avenue and can be accessed from either street. Constructing a five-storey building over a live railway line meant that vibration was a key design issue and was solved by placing the building on absorbent blocks in strategic location. 

The scheme consists of 253 student bedspaces designed in a cluster arrangement. There are 26 studios included in the overall scheme. A 2,000 sqft retail unit is located at the Botanic Avenue end of the site and it’s within a convenient walking distance from Queen’s University Belfast.
